Before the holidays find opportunity to put on their best festive attire, pumpkin everything heads to the top of almost everyone’s favorite goodies list. Cinnamah-Brosia shares, “At The Coffee Cottage we join the pumpkin club. Our guests favorite pumpkin fare is Pumpkin Pie Bars. I’ll let you in on a secret – one you’ll probably won’t be able to keep. These are really filled with cream cheese. Super yummy! We grabbed our version from Kraft’s website and tweaked it just a bit.
“We use all the crumb mixture as the base for the bars. Bake the crust as directed. Pour in the pumpkin mixture. Bake again. We picture them plain here, but many of our friends enjoy the pumpkin bars with a dollop of whipped cream on top. Serve with fresh brewed coffee, of course.
“Pumpkin receives all the fanfare from October through Thanksgiving, but we are certain these will be enjoyed all throughout the holiday season.”
